Fourth Sunday of Lent - Year B

Last Sunday's gospel passage tells us that God’s Son was not sent into the world to condemn it, but rather, ‘so that through him, the world might be saved.' It also tells us that whoever refuses to believe ‘is already condemned’. God does not condemn the world nor individuals within it. Indeed, God is absolutely determined to save the world. However, we do sometimes condemn ourselves. When we turn our back on love; when we hide from relationships; when we wallow in selfishness – we shut ourselves off from relationship with God and condemn ourselves. We only have to open our eyes to see the alternative! @ Greg Sunter. As a school community, may we continue to develop our relationships with God and each other.

“Parents and families are recognised as integral members of the school community and partners in their child’s education”. St Francis of Assisi strives to be a welcoming, inclusive community where families are strongly encouraged to be involved in the life of the school. Last week we had the opportunity to welcome our parents back onto the school site in a COVID-safe way for morning and afternoon pick up, Friday assembly and our Annual School Cross Country Carnival.

We are grateful to our staff and parents who have worked tirelessly to keep our school community safe during the pandemic and ensured all our students continued to receive growth in faith and improvement in learning.
