School Cross Country Carnival
cross country.jfif
Last Thursday we were very fortunate to have our first whole school carnival for nearly 18 months, with the weather holding out for a fantastic Cross Country Carnival.
Congratulations to all students for their participation, effort and behaviour on the day. It was so wonderful having the whole school community back together in one place.
A huge thank you to our parent helpers who assisted in many roles during the day, including ensuring students were safe on the course, cooking and delivering the delicious lunch orders, start and finish line and much more. Our carnival COULD NOT go ahead without your time and support, so THANK YOU.
Thanks also to all of our families who came along and supported their children - what a great feeling to have our community together as one again.
Congratulations to our selected team below who will represent St Francis of Assisi at the Diocesan Cross Country Championships on Tuesday 27 April (Term 2, Week 2) at Nowra. Run well and have fun!
Team: Isabella A, Daniel R, Ariel V B, Antonio F, Jasmin H, Hassan H, Manee P, Jaxen G, Chanel T, Joshua M, Savannah G, Hussein A, Eva G, Ali H, Jessica S, Nicholas C, Sara E C, Julian G, Shelby A, Corey M, Emma S, Adrian G, Lamar J, Ben A.
Ribbons, medallions and the winning house will be presented at the Celebration of Learning Assembly on Friday 26 March.
A special thank you to Mr Murphy for organising the carnival and to
the staff for all their support.
Diocesan Swimming Selection Trials
Congratulations to Eva who represented our school on Monday 8 March at the Wollongong Diocesan Swimming Trials.
Eva finished 7th in butterfly, 6th in freestyle, 4th in breaststroke and narrowly missed selection with a 3rd placing in the backstroke. She was competing against the best swimmers from all 30 primary schools in our Diocese! A fantastic achievement to make it to this level of competition, congratulations Eva!
