Year 3 and 4 - Excursion to Cockatoo Island

The Year 3 and 4 students will travel to Cockatoo Island on Friday 21 May. This excursion complements and enhances their understanding of the Stage 2 History unit "First Contacts". The students will engage in outdoor exploration, dress up and role-play. They will learn about the First Fleet, the impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and the island's convict penal establishment, which operated from 1839 to 1869. 

Year 1 and 2 - Excursion to Sydney SEALIFE Aquarium and WILD LIFE Zoo

To coincide with the Science and English Units on ‘Underwater Sea Creatures’ and ‘Living Things,’ an excursion has been organised to Sydney SEALIFE Aquarium and WILD LIFE Zoo on Thursday 3 June. The Science Unit ‘Living World’ focuses on the features of living things, their environment and how they change throughout their life cycle. Our English theme involves students reading, viewing and researching to write informative texts about sea creatures. During the excursion, the students will be able to view animals in their natural habitats and make observations about their features and environments.
