Principal Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of Week 4, every student, teacher, school support officer, office staff and parent at St Francis of Assisi is working incredibly hard, as they engage in remote learning. We hope you have had a chance to enjoy the Olympic Games. Just like Olympic athletes we probably all feel like we are running a marathon at the moment. As with marathons, students, parents and staff are calling on all their personal resources to meet the hurdles that the pandemic is throwing our way. Some days we will be sprinting and other days we will be fatigued and struggling to keep on top of everything, but please know that we have a support team, the St Francis of Assisi school community to support you. Unlike marathon runners, we don’t know where that finish line is yet, but we do know that we can rely on each other for support. Please continue to reach out to our staff. Please know we are here to support you in any way we can. As a Catholic School, it is easy to see the hand of God at work in the generosity and support of many people.
We are very pleased with the engagement of our students in their remote learning experiences and are very appreciative of parents supporting their children’s learning at home. We want to acknowledge that you are all doing a fantastic job; doing the best you can with learning from home or continuing to do essential work in our community.
