Our focus will be supporting student learning and well-being, connecting with our faith and COVID-19 safety measures and procedures. On the return to school, teachers will assess where students are at and provide the next steps in their learning. The well-being plan aims to create a safe and supportive environment. This plan will include providing opportunities for students to connect and the building of social and emotional skills. Positive Behaviours for Learning is an essential component and will focus on re-establishing predictable school routines and rituals so that students feel safe and secure.

Early this week, I communicated the changes to the staged return timeline for all NSW schools.  Under the new timeline announced by the NSW Premier, students across the state will now return to face-to-face learning according to the following schedule:

The safe return to onsite learning for all students is our number one priority. During the staged return, our school will follow the prescribed NSW Health Level 3/Level 3 Plus restrictions, which apply across NSW.

Students will remain in class groups on the playground and in the classroom. Year 4  will remain as two separate classes. There will be no mingling of students across grades. From the 25 October, there will be two staggered breaks for recess and lunch. Kindergarten to Year 3 and Years 4 to 6. Thank you to the staff for their preparation and commitment as we prepare for the return to face to face learning.
