Principal Message
Dear Parents and Carers
The wait was finally over! It was wonderful to welcome back our Kindergarten and Year One last week and our Years 2-6 students on Monday. The silence was broken with the hum of excited and happy children. A highlight of this week has been the huge smiles on the children's faces, particularly when they first entered the school gate. The students have brightened up our week as they eased back into the routines of school.
Over the coming weeks, we want our students to feel comfortable and secure. So we will continue to focus on the emotional and social needs of the students. They will be engaged in lots of activities that encourage playing together and putting into practice the social skills they learn in class. Thank you again to the staff for their preparation for the return to face to face learning.
World Teachers Day
Australia will celebrate and thank the teaching profession on World Teachers' Day, Friday 29 October. Teachers (with support from parents and carers) have ensured education continues across the country this year, despite significant challenges. It has reinforced the significant role teachers play in the lives of children and students, their families and communities.
On Friday 29 October, we say a big thank you to all teachers and celebrate the bright future of teaching. We encourage students to reach out to their teacher on Friday by sending them a message of appreciation or by writing a thank you card or note.
“Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap
if we do not grow weary” (Gal 6:9)
Have a wonderful World Teachers' Day
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Mrs Davidson
