Year 5 have successfully returned to the classroom after remote learning, transitioning back into the normalities of social interaction and school routines.

In English, we have been learning to read and write different types of poetry, and have been working hard on writing and preparing our 2022 student leader speeches. In Maths, we have been looking at area and number patterns, with lots of new learning and challenging maths tasks being undertaken. 

Students prepared a presentation on Antarctica and delivered this to the class. It was interesting to see the different styles that students used to present their research. In Visual Arts, we have had a focus on Christmas themed artworks, with the students exploring their creative sides through a number of different mediums and techniques.
