A Message from Mrs Madaschi
I am proud to have been teaching at St Francis of Assisi for 42 years. I have seen many changes such as the verandahs being closed in, a new church, a new hall and many refurbishments within the school.
I have worked with many staff and principals who have all had a great impact on my life and many I still call friends today.

During my time at this school, I have had the pleasure of working with many friars who have all been such an important part of our school, by encouraging the faith development of our students through Masses, liturgies, sacraments and interactions with the classes. As Religious Education Coordinator, I have always felt blessed and been well supported by the friars and now Father Damien.

I had the privilege of working with Sr Giovanna as my first principal who was always so
caring and compassionate. After Sr Giovanna, I have worked with several lay principals who also grew to love the school as I did. For the last 2 years, I have worked with Mrs Davidson and I know our school is in great hands as she is so passionate about St Francis of Assisi School just like I am.

I have worked with many great staff over the years and all have made an impact on the
students they have taught and also been an important part of my life. I am now teaching the children of students I have previously taught and am so grateful to see their children grow just as they did. I have achieved many milestones in my life while at St Francis. I met my husband who was also an ex-student. I married and had my two girls who also attended this school. I now have my first granddaughter and am looking forward to watching her grow up. In my time at St Francis, I have taught over 1000 children and I hope that in some way I have helped them grow and succeed in their lives. I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all those who I have worked with and taught. I have met some wonderful people and still love it today when I greet grandparents, parents and students and they remember me and I can share in their stories. St Francis of Assisi School is unique and special. It will always hold a place in my heart and I hope that I have made a small impact on those I have been fortunate enough to know.
