Liturgy to Celebrate the Beginning of the School Year and to Commission Our Year Six Leaders
Next Friday, 25 February, we will gather in the school playground at 11:30 am to celebrate our Opening School Liturgy which incorporates the commissioning of our 2022 student leaders.  Whilst we are unable to accommodate all parents, the parents of our Year Six leaders receiving badges are invited to attend this special liturgy. 

Project Compassion Launch
Every year, Caritas Australia launches their Project Compassion campaign on Shrove Tuesday, which falls on 1 March this year.  The theme for this year’s appeal is “For all Future Generations”, which reminds us that the good we do today will extend and impact the lives of generations to come.  This year, our Stage 3 students will attend a virtual launch of the Project Compassion campaign.  During the weeks of Lent, we will be learning about the work of Caritas and the communities they are helping and we look forward to sharing this information with you.

Ash Wednesday
On 2 March, to commemorate the beginning of the Season of Lent, our primary students (Years 3-6) will gather for a liturgy in our school playground at 10:00 am and our infants' students (Kindergarten - Year2) will hold a special liturgy in their classrooms.  As part of these services, staff and students will receive ashes.  The following infographic from CatholicLink provides some information regarding the symbolism of ashes.
