Sporting Schools (Years 2-6) - Touch Football Program
We have been fortunate to secure a grant through Sporting Schools Australia to run a program with students in Years 2-6 this term. Students will participate in Touch Football sessions, from Weeks 4-8. These sessions will be one hour a week during normal sports time for each class.

AFL South Coast Finals
On Friday 05 August, Zaynab, Makedde, Manee, Charlie, Mia, Felicia, Sara, Eva, Savannah, Chanel, Jessica, and Sienna travelled down to Ulladulla to represent our school for the AFL South Coast Finals. The girls played well on the day, however, we missed playing in the final due to our points differential. Congratulations girls for your efforts on the day and for making it this far in the competition! Thank you to the parents, grandparents and relatives who supported the team on the day.

Sam Bremner Girls Rugby League
Our Girls Rugby League team had a great day out in the sun last Tuesday 02 August at Croome Road Sporting Complex, competing in the Sam Bremner Girls Rugby League competition. They were greatly improved over the day and won 2 out of 3 games! Great work girls on having a go and giving your best.

South Coast Athletics Carnival
Congratulations to our Athletics team who represented our school at the South Coast Athletics Carnival at Beaton Park on Tuesday 09 August. All students were excellent representatives of St Francis and did their very best on the track and in the field.
Special mention to Eva and Tevita who progressed through to the Diocesan Athletics Trials next Tuesday in the shot put event. Good luck!
A big thanks to all of the parents who came to support the children on a wet morning! Thanks to Mrs Burrows and Ms Martins for accompanying the children and supporting them during the day.

NSW Touch Football Carnival
Congratulations to our Touch Football teams who played in the NSW Touch Football Carnival at Dalton Park on Tuesday 09 August. Most of the students were new to the game and enjoyed learning new skills and spending time outdoors with their friends. Ali was unable to play due to injury however he went along and used his skills and knowledge to help referee and coach the younger students, well done!
Thanks to all of the families who braved the wet and cold conditions to support the children.
Special mention to Mrs Matos, Mrs Briscoe, Mrs Agius, Mr deVet and Mrs Logue for their work in the lead up to the event and on the day - from assisting to transport students, organisation of teams and refereeing, their dedication made the day special for the students, many of whom were representing St Francis for the first time.
