Sporting Schools (Years 2-6) - Touch Football Program
We have been fortunate to secure a grant through Sporting Schools Australia to run a program with students in Years 2-6 this term. Students will participate in Touch Football sessions, from Weeks 4-8. These sessions will be one hour a week during normal sports time for each class.

Soccer Gala Day
We are close to finalising details of our 'mini' Soccer Gala Day in Week 9 this term. We will be combining with St Patrick's, Port Kembla on Thursday 15 September for a fun day of soccer for Years 3-6 students. Please keep an eye out on Compass in the next week for confirmation and details of this event.
Diocesan Athletics Selection Trials
Last Tuesday 16 August, Eva and Tevita from Year 6 represented St Francis of Assisi at the Diocesan Athletics Trials. They both competed in the Shot Put event, with Eva finishing 6th in the Senior Girls, while Tevita took out 1st place in the 11 Year Boys. Congratulations to both students on making it to this high level of competition and representing our school so well.
Best wishes to Tevita who was selected in the Wollongong Diocesan Team to compete at the MacKillop Trials in Week 10 this term.
