Transition to School through Play and Orientation - Term 4, 2022
Starting Kindergarten is a very important and exciting time in your child’s life. The Transition to School Playgroup is intended to give information and support to the children and parents for Kindergarten 2023. Below are the Playgroup Transition to school dates and times. The sessions will be approximately 1 hour starting at 1.30 pm on alternate Mondays and Thursdays for 8 weeks. We ask that a parent or carer attends the playgroup sessions with your child. Upon completion of the Playgroup program, a Kindergarten Orientation will be held on Monday 5 December at 9.30 am. At this meeting, the children will go to their Kindergarten Classroom, and parents will attend an information session in the school hall.
When do Kindergarten Start School in 2023
Our school takes part in the Best Start Kindergarten Assessment. This will take place from Monday 30 January to Wednesday 1 February 2023, and your child will be rostered to attend a 1-hour session during this time. Due to the Best Start Assessment schedule, all Kindergarten students will commence their first day of school on Thursday, 2 February 2023. Information about Best Start, including a letter and handouts, will be provided at Orientation. We look forward to meeting with you again and sharing your child’s educational journey.
