Prime Minister's Spelling Bee
Students from Years 3 to 6 participated in the Prime Ministers Spelling Bee Competition. The Spelling Bee allowed students to complete 30 spelling words where they had to aim for accuracy, beat the clock, have 25 seconds to spell each word, and finish ahead of their fellow students right across Australia. Words for Years 3 and 4 were different from Years 5 and 6. The students completed the school round and from these results, the high achievers were asked to participate in the semi-finals, followed by the grand final. This year one of our students reached the semi-final level with a score of 28/30. Congratulations and well done to our school champion, Ivy-Rose in Year 4. She just missed out on the grand final with a score of 27/30. Thank you to Mr Gilmore for organising and registering St Francis of Assisi in the competition. Mrs Briscoe
