From the Principal Desk
Acting Assistant Principal and Year 5
As previously communicated, Mr Rodney Green is taking personal leave during Term 2. After a recruitment process, Mr Brett Murphy has been appointed as Acting Assistant Principal in Mr Green's absence. On behalf of the school and parish community, I would like to congratulate Mr Murphy on this appointment. For the remainder of Term 2, Mrs Melanie Pilon will be working three days a week with Year 5. We wish Mr Murphy and Mrs Pilon all the best in these roles.
Winter School Uniform - Changeover
Thank you to our parents and carers for transitioning the students into winter uniforms. All students should now be wearing their winter uniform. The way we present ourselves demonstrates respect for ourselves and our school as a united community. Please let your class teacher know if you have questions about uniforms.
At St Francis of Assisi, we support students to be sun smart. In doing so, we encourage students to consistently wear their hats when outdoors, from the time they enter the school gate each morning until they are dismissed each afternoon. Thank you for supporting your children to wear their uniforms correctly and with pride.
2024 Kindergarten Enrolment Interviews
Our Kindergarten enrolment interviews for 2024 have continued this week. This enrolment period is an exciting time for these children, their families and our school community. We ask that you continue to keep them in your prayers.
If you have a sibling commencing school in 2024 but have not completed an application form, please do so as soon as possible. We are still accepting enrolment applications; please contact the office. Enrolment packs are available from the school office or our website.
Parking around the school
Thank you to our families who are parking correctly in the streets around the school and for using the car pick-up safely. We still have a number of vehicles blocking driveways and double parking in no-stopping zones on Bruce Road. Please be mindful of our road rules to keep the local residents and our school community safe.
Tell Them From Me Survey
A sincere thank you to all parents who have been able to share their feedback through the Tell Them From Me survey. Your voice and that of your children and their teachers will help guide our school's strategic improvement plan. I look forward to sharing the survey analysis with you when the results are released. Please see the link on Compass or Seesaw to access the survey.
