Year 6 Mass with Bishop Brian
On Tuesday 30 July, our Year 6 students attended a special Mass with Bishop Brian Mascord at Ss Peter and St Paul, Kiama. This Mass was also attended by other schools in the Diocese. It was a wonderful opportunity for the Bishop to meet the students and talk to them as they come to the end of their journey in primary school. We were very proud of our Year 6 students as they responded well during the Mass, wore their uniform with pride and their behaviour was exemplary. Congratulations to Sierra S who carried our candle proudly to the sacred space, and to Dean G who read the First Reading beautifully. Being entertained by the Diocesan Youth Ministry was a wonderful experience as they led all the students in the singing and dancing. Congratulations also to Mr Gilmore who was involved in leading the musical performance during Mass.
Olivia G: It was lovely to meet new people, make new friends and enjoy our time together.
Rayhana E: I loved the concert because the music was modern and I was dancing with my friends. I even won some chocolate.
Jasmin G: I was involved in the choir and I loved singing with Mr Gilmore and Simon, as well as students from other schools.
Yousef C and Khalil A: It was a great experience to see the Bishop and listen to him talk to us about loving God and each other. We didn’t know that Bishop Brian was such a good singer.
