Uniform Change - Week 4
Due to our Cyclic Inquiry being held at school on Wednesday 9 August, we have changed the days that students will attend their sport lessons.
Please be advised that if your child normally wears their sport uniform on Wednesdays, in Week 4 this will be different.
Children will wear normal winter uniform on Wednesday 9 August and all classes except for Year 4 will wear Sport Uniform on Thursday 10 August.
Friday Assembly - Recognition of Achievements
We are looking forward to bringing back this special section of our Friday assemblies. Students will be able to be acknowledged for any special achievements outside of school. For example, winning a Soccer Gala Day, placing in a Dance competition, competing at a martial arts tournament, etc.
There will be a process set up, including a Google form which will need to be completed with the basic details of the achievement. Students will be encouraged to bring in relevant trophies, medals, etc. to share with the school community.
The full process will be shared via Compass in 2024.

NAPLAN
NAPLAN results, which the students completed in March, were delivered to students in Years 3 and 5 this week. NAPLAN is a national literacy and numeracy assessment that students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 sit each year. The purpose of the NAPLAN data is to provide parents, and the school, with information about the student's literacy and numeracy skills. As students progress through their school years, it’s important to check how well they are learning the essential skills of reading, writing and numeracy.
NAPLAN testing is a snapshot of data from when the tests were undertaken and one aspect of a school’s assessment and reporting process. It does not replace ongoing assessments made by teachers about student performance, but it can provide teachers with additional information about students’ educational progress. From 2023, proficiency standards replace the previous reporting of NAPLAN results that used numerical bands.
