Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers

Scripture Reflection - Jesus teaches about forgiveness: Matthew 18:21-35.

In last Sunday’s Gospel, we read about Jesus teaching the disciples how to handle disputes and conflict within the Christian community. Peter asked Jesus how many times one ought to extend forgiveness to another. Peter thought seven. Jesus replied by extending Peter's proposal by an enormous amount; not just seven times should one forgive, but 77 x7 times. In this parable of the unforgiving servant, we learn that we should always forgive no matter what the circumstances. When we truly forgive others, we discover happiness.
May we be willing to forgive others as generously as God forgives us? From the heart!
As we come to the end of Term 3, I would like to take the opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to our staff, students and families for your wonderful support of
the programmes and opportunities offered to the students throughout this term.
It certainly has been a busy one.

When I look back over our calendar for the term, we have had so many highlights in faith, learning and wellbeing. As a whole school community, Grandparents Day, the Year 5 and 6 Camp, Book Parade, School Cyclic Inquiry, Masses and Liturgies, Father’s Day, R U OK? Day, Kindergarten Excursion, Catholic Mission Launch, Jump Rope for Heart, Stage 3 Christmas Art, and celebration of Learning Assemblies. These are just some of the wonderful reflections of how we have come together as one community. Congratulations to our students who have represented the school in so many ways at the South Coast and Diocesan Carnivals, Rugby League, Soccer and Basketball Gala Days.
I would like to acknowledge and thank the leadership team and our staff. Thank you for all you do for our students and their families; as mentioned, we have had some very significant events in our school this term. It takes a team effort from staff, parents and students for these events to be successful. Thank you, everyone!
I hope everyone has a chance to relax a little during these holidays. Enjoy the break!

Students return to school on Monday 9 Monday 2023.
