First Holy Communion Program
Please continue to keep in your prayers the children and families in our school and parish who are nearing the end of their preparation period.
A reminder that a sausage sizzle and rehearsal for the families involved in the First Holy Communion program will take place at St Mary of the Rosary, Berkeley tonight (Thursday 16 November), commencing at 6pm.
Month of November for All Souls
As noted in our last newsletter, throughout the month of November, our Church encourages us to pray for those who have died. Here is the prayer we have been using for our morning assemblies.
Loving God, we prayerfully remember all our loved ones who have died:
those who passed away peacefully, those who suffered great pain,
and those who died too soon, in sudden and unexpected ways.
We thank you for our memories of them and for the good times we shared.
We pray that all of our loved ones are at peace,
knowing that they will rest in Your love eternally.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May the souls of the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.
Mini Vinnies Food Drive - Christmas Hampers for St Vincent de Paul
As noted in our last newsletter, we are currently seeking donations of food items for the St Vincent de Paul Christmas hampers. Thank you to all the families that have already started sending in items - your generosity is much appreciated! We are still collecting items until Thursday 7 December.
If your family is able to support this food drive, we would love your help with these donations:
| Kindergarten | Chocolates and pancake mix |
| Year 1 | Sweet and savoury biscuits |
| Year 2 | Family packs of chips and lollies |
| Year 3 | Soft drink and cordial |
| Year 4 | Plum puddings and Christmas cake |
| Year 5 | Tinned ham and long life milk |
| Year 6 | Tinned fruit and long life custard or cream |
| Open to all Year groups | New toys for children aged 1 - 12 or gift vouchers (gifts do not need to be wrapped) |
Donations are due to school by Thursday 7th December.
Children’s Nativity Play
If you would like to be involved in this year’s parish nativity play at Warrawong on Christmas Eve at 6:30pm, please let Ms Maloney know.
