New Painting!

Our school community was very excited to see the transformation of the exterior and interior of the school building during the holiday break. The most noticeable changes outside were the completion of the exterior painting and the new shade sail, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our school. The interior painting of our school was also a notable change and ensures that every classroom, hallway, and common area reflects the vibrant spirit of our school community.
We would like to thank the Catholic Education Office Diocese of Wollongong, our staff, students and families for all their support during the renovations.
Year 6 reflections...
The students and staff were very happy to return to school with fresh, new and clean learning areas. The painting of all classrooms and outside of the building certainly makes the environment more modern and fresh. Here are some excited Year 6 students' views: -
During the holidays, we had a lot of renovations done at school, including painting and a new shade cover. When I came to school, I was very surprised at how clean and sleek our school looked. From the old, dirty walls to brand new white walls as well as a new shade cover, our old cover would leak sometimes, but now it’s much more modern. I enjoy how our school is developing into a more modern school. Even inside our school there are many changes, it all started last year when they built a lift in one of our classrooms. When we came back this year, it became a lot better. Overall our school is great, and we are very happy with the results. Thank you! Tyrese (6B)

During the school holidays, we had a lot of work done at school, including painting and a new shade cover. At first, I realised it was different, but for the first time in almost 7 years of being a part of our amazing school community, this change is good. Now we can clearly see how much potential this school really has. Personally, my favourite part is the library; it has been expanded into two large rooms with lots of room to expand our minds. One of our goals in Year 6 is to do more reading. The renovations are spectacular! Now our school is modern, and l find that it isn’t as distracting and sometimes overwhelming. Our fantastic and hard-working principal, Mrs Davidson, has really thought about the best for our school. Lucinda (6B)

During the holidays, we had a lot of work done at school, including painting and a new shade cover. In my opinion, this makes our school look much better and modernised. I also think the more subtle colours can help with our learning, as bright, random colours were very distracting and always caught my attention. Coming to school was definitely a pleasant surprise. I much prefer how new and clean our school looks now. The shade cover was very appreciated as the old one didn’t match the school and had tears and rips. The new one allows a more clean and modern look. I’ve noticed major changes to the library. We have expanded it into two rooms rather than one. This gives much more space. I remember how crowded it felt in each section. Hopefully, now these difficulties will be resolved. I believe these additions to the school have definitely caught my eye and I’m sure others feel the same way. Overall I am very happy with these changes and I thank our principal, Mrs Davidson for making these adjustments. Layla (6B)
