2024 Swimming Carnival (2-6) and Water Fun Day (K-1)
It was touch and go to ensure the carnival went ahead, however it turned out to be a great day for it. Thanks for your patience and support as we do our best to make the best decisions in light of weather conditions.
Thank you to our staff, students, and parents for a wonderful day. We appreciate all the time our staff put into organising days like these. Our parents and families are amazing in the way they always give up their time to volunteer - we couldn't run carnivals without you - Thanks! Our students are always so positive and grateful, we hope you all enjoyed the day.
To Berkeley Pool and their staff, thanks for hosting us and being so accommodating. We are also grateful to the Berkeley Amateur Swimming Club for the use of their facilities and equipment.
Not to miss out, our Kindergarten and Year 1 students had a 'Water Fun Day' back at school. After some natural water fun in the rain, they headed indoors for some dry fun! All topped off with a Zooper Dooper as the day warmed up.
Swimming ribbons, medallions and trophies will be presented at the Week 5 Principal and Value Award assembly - Friday 1 March at 2:10pm in the Hall.
2024 Cross Country Carnival
We are looking forward to our Annual Cross Country Carnival, to be held on Friday 22 March at Integral Energy Park for all students in Kinder to Year 6. More information and parent permission is now available on Compass in the Events section. Please provide consent through Compass at your earliest convenience. We will also require parent helpers on the day, please indicate through the Compass event questions if you are able to support us.
St George Illawarra Dragons 'Best You Can Be' Assembly
Our Year 3-6 students enjoyed a visit from the St George Illawarra Dragons on Monday, who presented their 'Best You Can Be' assembly. There was a focus on health and wellbeing, with interactive games, prizes and physical activity games. The students learned lots of tips from the Dragons players about how to maintain healthy lifestyles. The players were also very generous in signing lots of autographs for the students.
Thank you to the Dragons community team and the players for giving up their time and visiting us.
REMINDERS - COMPULSORY ATTENDANCE AT CARNIVALS - COMPASS
Please be reminded that all school sports carnivals are compulsory for students to attend. If they choose not to participate in certain activities due to medical or other reasons, please let your class teacher know. Thanks for your support, these events are great community days and it is important that everyone is included in our carnivals.
