New Afternoon Dismissal
As you know in preparation for our building project on the frontage of the school we will need to make some changes, especially around afternoon dismissal. We are hoping to find out this date soon.
As part of our Schoolwide Positive Behaviours for Learning framework (SPB4L), we have been explicitly teaching our students these procedures.
Some important notes for our parents:
The double gate near the office doors will be remain locked in the afternoon.
• Parents will now enter the school via the single gate, near the school electronic sign.
• 2.45pm – Each day the single gate will be opened as will the gate near the hall.
• Parents will be invited to enter the school playground and wait on the seats, on the office side of the playground.
• 2.50pm - The students will come downstairs in their class lines. Students will not be allowed to go to their parents or give them their bags on the way to lines.
• 2.55pm - The school afternoon prayer will be said and then parents will be invited to collect their children. Students will not be able to leave their line until their parent or carer is sighted
• Parents will be able to exit the school via the single or double sliding gate near the electronic sign or the single gate near the hall. The big sliding gate will be opened after prayer. A teacher will be supervising the top gate.
• Students going home on Car Lines, Back Lane / Gate or After School Care will then move to their usual waiting areas.
Parents wishing to go to the office, please enter via the gate to the school office.
Thank you for your assistance with this change to our afternoon dismissal procedures.
Parents Picking Up in Car Lines
It has been noticed that a few parents have been getting out of their car while dropping off / picking up students in the Drop Off / Pick Up Zone. This is not permitted under the NSW Road Laws, so a reminder to all parents to stay in their car or risk a hefty fine from Council Rangers or the Police. If your child requires any help getting into the car, the teacher on duty will assist. Thank you.
