Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back for Term 2. I trust you have had a safe and restful break. The students returned to school with many stories about their holiday adventures and were eager to reconnect with their friends and teachers. Thank you to the staff for the work they have put in to prepare for Term 2. We have an exciting term ahead of us and look forward to having our families join us for these significant events.

Scripture Reflection - John 15:9-17

Last Sunday's Gospel from John 15:9-17 emphasises Jesus' command to love each other as He has loved us. He describes His followers as friends, not servants, and highlights that true love involves sacrifice - the ultimate example being His own life.
This message encourages us to cultivate a culture of genuine care and selflessness. It serves as a reminder of the deep connections we should strive to foster among students, staff, and families, mirroring the loving and sacrificial friendship that Jesus exemplifies. Let us use this teaching to reinforce the importance of looking out for one another and being willing to go the extra mile in support of our community. May we all strive to be not just classmates, colleagues, or acquaintances but true friends bound by respect, kindness, and care.

Mother's Day
On Sunday, we celebrate Mother’s Day. While Mother's Day is celebrated on different days in many countries around the world, the central idea of honouring mothers is universal. Mother’s Day is a time to acknowledge the dedication, sacrifice, and love of mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures who shape our lives in profound ways. This morning, our school community gathered for a special Mother’s Day celebration and open classrooms. Thank you to our P&F and parent helpers for preparing the lovely morning tea and organising our Mother’s Day stall. Our school community greatly appreciates all your continued support. We thank our mothers for all you do for our staff, students and families.
Below is a Mother's Day video we shared with the school community during our celebration. Thank you for sending in your photos.
Have a wonderful day on Sunday because you deserve it.

On behalf of the staff, students, school and parish community,
we wish the mothers, grandmothers and mother figures
in our community, a Happy Mother’s Day.

Mrs Vicky Davidson
