Kindergarten Excursion
On Friday 6 September, Kindergarten went on an excursion to Shoalhaven Zoo. Not only was it a wonderful opportunity to consolidate and reflect upon their learning from this term, but it was also such a positive experience - one that they will always remember.
Ms Beckhaus, along with Mrs Logue, Mrs Zaffonato, Mrs Christodoulou and Miss Ivancevic were lucky enough to spend the day with Kinder and we all had the best day ever! The students were so well behaved, learnt alot and even overcame some of their fears along the way. We were so proud of them all!
Some highlights included meeting and patting Squeeze the python, two beautiful ringtail possums, Bubba the alligator and of course the beautiful Koalas (a special moment for many of the students!). Not to mention feeding all the farm animals, everyone enjoyed this very much!
Let's hear what Kindergarten thought!
Lamar - My favourite part was the show because we got to touch the animals and see them up close - even a big snake!
Isabella - I loved the goats because I was able to feed them. At first I was nervous about it, then I squealed when I fed them and then I was able to do it all by myself!
Noah - I learnt that the ringtail possum uses its tail to hang onto branches. They are nocturnal too - that's so cool!
Jakub - I really liked patting the snake because it felt really smooth.
Thank you to the teachers for allowing this wonderful learning experience to be possible. We all had a blast!
