Staff Professional Learning

At St Francis of Assisi, we believe that learning is a lifelong journey—not just for students, but for our teachers and support staff. Our Professional Learning program supports staff in expanding their knowledge and skills to ensure the best learning outcomes for our students.
Research shows that high-quality professional learning is essential for improving teaching practice and student growth. At St Francis of Assisi, our staff is deeply committed to ongoing professional development, continuously striving to improve our teaching practice in order to improve faith, learning and wellbeing.
Our staff engage in a variety of professional learning experiences, including:

• 
  Classroom-based learning – observing practice, coaching and mentoring, participating in professional learning communities
• Face-to-face learning – attending conferences, meetings, training courses, and formal study
• Research-based learning – professional reading, inquiry cycles, and self-directed research
• Online learning – completing modules, courses, and webinars

As a school, we have a strategic plan for school improvement, upon which we base our professional learning priorities.
