Feast Day Celebrations for St Francis of Assisi
As St Francis of Assisi’s feast day falls during the school holidays, our school community will celebrate in Week 10, on Thursday, 25 September. The day will commence with a Votive Mass for St Francis of Assisi, celebrated by Fr Mark at 9.00 am. This will be followed by a special awards assembly in the hall. All families and friends are welcome to join the school community at these two events. The students will then engage in learning experiences about St Francis for the remainder of the school day.
Staff Spirituality Day
As families and students would be aware, the last day for students this term is Thursday, 25 September. Staff, however, will gather on Friday, 26 September, at Kiama for a Staff Spirituality Day. Coming together, staff will have the opportunity to journey through the Beatitudes, Matthew 3:5-10. The Beatitudes is a passage that contains Jesus’ teaching about the attitudes and characteristics that lead to spiritual and eternal blessing, such as being poor in spirit, merciful, and pure in heart.
