Behaviour Management / Positive Behaviours for Learning (PB4L)
We are constantly exploring ways to acknowledge and support the many students in our school who practise safe and respectful relationships with others. Our use of Positive Behaviours for Learning (PB4L), a diocesan approach, encourages children to follow our the school rules, Be Safe, Be Responsible and Be Respectful. Students are supported to make choices which respect themselves and others.
Throughout the year our teachers will reinforce our school rules and what these look like in all areas of the school. This will be done through explicit teaching, modelling and practising by each class. We continue to encourage and reward pro-social behaviour in so many ways here at St Francis of Assisi. These include Playground Happy Cards, which are counted towards other rewards and our weekly PB4L Awards. We will be holding a workshop later this term where PB4L will be explained in greater detail to our parent community.
