Catholic Schools' Week Mass
On Friday, 1 March at 9.00am our school will celebrate Catholic Schools' Week Mass. Catholic Schools' Week begins on Sunday 3 March and runs for the whole week but due to Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent in that week we are celebrating early. During Catholic Schools' Week Mass our Kindergarten students will be presented with special certificates to welcome them to our school. We invite all parents and guardians and especially Kindergarten parents to join us for this Mass. Kindergarten will be accompanied by their Year 5 Buddies as they join us for their first Mass at our school.
Open Morning for Catholic Schools' Week
On Monday 4 March, classrooms will be open from 9.00am until 10.30am so that you can visit your child/children and participate in their learning. Please join us for morning tea after Open classrooms.
Diocesan Education Mass
On Thursday 7 March our school staff will attend the Diocesan Education Mass, with all the Catholic Education Office staff and school staff in our Diocese. At this Mass, our Principal Mrs Vicky Davidson will be presented to the Diocese as a new principal and we will pray for her as she undertakes her new journey. Mrs Davidson will be accompanied by our school captains.
Caritas Launch
On Tuesday 5 March Mrs Davidson will accompany our school Captains to St Brigid's Catholic Primary School Gwynneville for the Caritas launch of Project Compassion. They will be presented with special mission boxes that we will use to collect money and support the projects of Caritas for 2019. The children will learn about Caritas projects during their Religious Education lessons.
Ash Wednesday
On Wednesday 6 March Lent begins with Ash Wednesday. Students in Years 1-6 will attend Mass and Father Martin will come to school after Mass to distribute the ashes to Kindergarten. Please join us as we begin this new season in our church year.
Bishop Brian Mascord
On Friday 22 February, Bishop Brian Mascord celebrates his first year as Bishop in the Diocese of Wollongong. We give thanks to Bishop Brian for his leadership in the Church.
