Principal's Message
ENROL KINDERGARTEN 2020
Applications due by Friday, 12 April 2019.
Dear Parent and Carers
At St. Francis of Assisi, we aim to build a supportive school environment where positive behaviour is promoted. One of our school rules is to ‘Be Respectful’. A few weeks ago I asked the students to think of ways they can continue to be respectful at school and home. There are so many ways we can do this; here are just a few:
- Listen - Listening to what another person has to say, respect begins with listening.
- Encourage - A smile and uplifting word can truly brighten someone's day.
- Congratulate - If someone does a great job, let them know about it. Let everyone know about it.
- Be Helpful - Offering some advice or giving a bit of your time will mean a lot.
- Say Thank You - Make sure people know you appreciate them and their actions.
We all know that mutual respect is fundamental in any human relationship. In this way, sincere and lasting friendship can grow. All people are created in the image and likeness of God and, therefore, everyone is entitled to be treated with love, dignity and respect.
Today we celebrated Harmony Day. A special time to acknowledge Australia’s cultural diversity. It is wonderful to be in a school community which encourages inclusivity, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
I encourage you to continue to care deeply for the dignity and wellbeing of others and welcome all with love, respect and mercy.
Kind Regards
Mrs Vicky Davidson
Principal
