Welcome back to Term 2 and the beginning of a new term. I trust the Easter break enabled you to spend time with family and friends. Throughout Lent, we have reflected on our personal relationship with God. During Holy Week, we gathered as a Catholic community to focus on the powerful message of sacrifice and love shown to us in Our Lord’s Passion and Death. We too are reborn with Christ on Easter morning and take a renewed spirit forward with us each day. We are people of the Resurrection, and in fact, our own inevitable wounds, like those of Christ, can heal others. The disciples came to believe in the risen Jesus. Often with us, as with the disciples, fear, confusion, and doubt coexist with joy and great faith. The disciples acted with joy and faith which enabled them to continue the mission of Jesus Christ. We too, while we have doubts and fear, can respond in faith to live the Good News and continue the mission of Jesus, risen and present among us today.

Easter is such a special time in the Church’s calendar. Today we celebrated Easter with Andrew Chinn. The students spent time in workshops led by Andrew, culminating in an Easter concert. Thank you to our parents, families and friends for joining us for this celebration.
