Assistant Principal

Welcome back to our students, teachers and parents. It was a pleasure to stand in front of all of the students on Thursday morning and see them so keen and ready to start another year of learning and growing. It was evident the students' pride in wearing their school uniform correctly to start the year. Thank you, parents, for your support with this.

As we begin a new school year, we welcome our new families to our wonderful school community, inspired by the Franciscan spirit, to empower all learners to reach their full potential.

All teachers will be reinforcing our school rules: BE SAFE, BE RESPECTFUL, BE RESPONSIBLE, and what these look like in all areas of the school. Each class will engage in explicit teaching, modelling and practising of these school rules.

Our initial school focus will be on the Assembly Area and Lining Up Routines. Children will be shown where they need to line up in the morning, at the end of each break, and the afternoon dismissal.

Assembly Area	Move off in order from lines. Walk-in lines facing forward. Stay in your place in lines when moving off the assembly area. Keep hands, feet and objects to self.	Respond to music/bells promptly. Look and listen to the teacher(s) on duty. Be mindful of others’ personal space by respecting their right to space. Be reverent during prayer.	Stop playing and collect your belongings when the music begins. Walk quietly to your line. Sit quietly in your line and wait for announcements. No eating or drinking on lines Go to the bathroom when the music begins if needed.
