Dear Parents and Carers
I am so proud of the tremendous effort that all the students are putting into being “back together again”. Each day they come to school with a positive attitude, keen to learn and be with their teachers and friends. It is so nice to hear the voices and laughter of children in their classrooms and on the playground.
It is now that time of year where many events take place. We look forward to sharing these with you as COVID-safe regulations allow. As the term progresses, I will keep you informed about any other changes that we are able to manage at school at the same time as making the health and safety of our students and staff the priority.
Thank you for your ongoing cooperation, support and understanding.
Mrs Davidson

On Tuesday 9 November, Fr Damien celebrated Confirmation. Tonight will be the second ceremony in the parish. Ten candidates and one Maronite candidate participated in these celebrations. Thank you to our parents and sponsors for presenting them for Confirmation. We also thank Father Damien, the teachers and the catechists who prepared these children. May God bless them all.

We would like to pass on our enormous thanks to our generous P&F. Earlier in the year, we were preparing to purchase some new sport uniforms for our school, and consulted with the P&F to share the cost.
However, in a unprompted act of generosity, the P&F returned after remote learning and said that as a gesture of thanks to our hard working staff, they would cover the complete cost of these uniforms.
They arrived yesterday and look amazing! We are looking forward to having the opportunity to use these with our sporting teams in 2022 and beyond. Our students will now proudly represent St Francis of Assisi as an organised and sophisticated team unit in future gala days and competitions.
Thank you to all our families for your continued support of P&F fundraising events.

Please see the procedures below if your child presents unwell at school.
The first symptoms of COVID-19 and flu are similar, in that they both can cause fever, cough, sore/scratchy throat and shortness of breath.
Throughout this period, we ask that you keep your child at home if they are unwell. In the event your child is unwell at school the normal processes apply: Your child will be cared for at school in the sickbay by a qualified first aid officer, while they await collection from a parent/guardian/carer.
When the parent/guardian/carer of the student collects their child from school, a letter will be provided to them, which outlines the steps required for the student to be able to return to school. These steps include gaining a medical clearance certificate (where possible) and only return to school once the student has fully recovered.
We are advising you of these measures so that you may discuss them with your child in the event this situation arises.
We thank you for your support in keeping our school community safe.

Please check and ensure your school account will be paid in full by 30th November. If you require an extension or have any concerns, please contact the School Office.
We advise the Catholic Education Office has processed crediting school fee accounts for activities the students, unfortunately, have not been able to participate in due to COVID. The credits applicable will be shown on your account in the Compass Parent Portal. Please do not hesitate to contact the School Office if you have any questions.
Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) have made available support to families, conscious of the significant financial impact that many may be experiencing as a result of the COVID-19 restrictions. Please find below detailed information regarding support for families through COVID-19 restrictions and school fee payments. As always, please do not hesitate to contact the school about any matters you wish to discuss, especially those related to financial hardship.
Vacancies Available 2022 - Enrol now
Enrolments are OPEN for 2022. Please let your family and friends know. The enrolment application form is available from the School Office or can be downloaded from the link below.
